Senior Product Manager (on-site)

Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

Intro

At Cloover, we're building the operating system for the energy transition, a platform that helps thousands of installation companies across Germany and Austria sell more, plan faster, and deliver better. We're backed by €1.2B in committed funding, recently closed a €22M Series A, and are just getting started on our European expansion.

We're looking for a Product Manager to join our product team and own a meaningful slice of that platform. This is a high-intensity role in a fast-moving company.

You'll work directly with engineers and internal teams to turn real customer problems and business needs into well-defined, reliably shipped product. This isn't a coordination role — it's hands-on ownership over how work moves from idea to production, across both customer-facing features and the operational infrastructure that powers them.

If you're someone who gets close to the work, brings clarity to ambiguity, and cares about building things that genuinely matter, this role is for you.

Your mission

  • Translate customer, commercial, and operational needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Run product research to inform what we build, talk to installers, dig into usage data, study competitor approaches, and validate assumptions before committing engineering time
  • Operate with high autonomy: identify problems worth solving, propose solutions, and drive them forward without waiting for direction
  • Own and continuously refine the backlog for your product area, ensuring work is well-prioritised and ready for development
  • Work closely with engineers on a daily basis to clarify scope, answer questions, and navigate implementation trade-offs
  • Drive product initiatives through development, testing, and release, ensuring features ship reliably and with high quality
  • We're an AI-native team. That means using AI tools as a natural part of how you work — for research, writing, analysis, prototyping, and beyond. Pick your stack; just use it.
  • Coordinate internal testing and support rollouts so new functionality works in real-world usage
  • Own your product area end-to-end, from identifying opportunities and defining strategy to shipping and iterating post-launch. You're the person accountable for outcomes, not just output.

Your profile

We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you've been. Here's what will set you up for success:

  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a software-driven environment
  • Strong experience with backlog ownership, story writing, and working closely with engineering teams
  • The ability to go from a vague problem space to a clear product direction, through research, analysis, and structured thinking
  • A pragmatic approach to trade-offs between speed, quality, and scope
  • You're self-directed and comfortable making decisions with imperfect information. You don't need someone to tell you what to work on next.
  • Experience running discovery work, user interviews, data analysis, prototyping, or other methods to validate product direction before building
  • You thrive in environments where urgency is the norm, not the exception
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Based in Berlin and comfortable working in-person, this is an on-site role at our Prenzlauer Berg office

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Experience with B2B fintech products, internal tools, or process-heavy systems
  • German language skills, given our installer base and internal stakeholders
Our Hiring Process:

We keep things transparent and respect your time. Here's what to expect:

Intro call (30 min) → Hiring manager Interview (30 min) → Case study (1 hour) → Offer & signed contract

Why us?

  • Free breakfast and dinner at the office, plus snacks and drinks throughout the day

About us

At Cloover, our mission is to empower 1 billion people to be part of a sustainable world — with just one click, no barriers, no compromise. We're building the AI operating system for the energy transition: a platform that supports installation companies across solar, heat pumps, e-mobility, energy renovation, and much more.

Our platform combines software and embedded financing solutions to help installers scale their sales, generate more leads, and run projects more efficiently — while making it easier for households to switch to renewable energy.

We're growing fast, currently active in Germany and Austria, and gearing up to expand into further European markets. We're backed by world-class investors, have $1.2 billion in committed funding, and recently closed a €22 million Series A round. The best part? We're just getting started.
