As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Berlin HQ and help build core infrastructure and features, while growing with the company.

As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, integrate secure authentication flows, and leverage AI tools to boost productivity while maintaining high engineering standards. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy autonomy, shipping frequently, and tackling challenges across the entire stack, including occasional no-code/low-code systems.

Your mission

Own features end-to-end across frontend and backend using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks ( Next.js, Node.js).
Design, implement, and maintain APIs that are scalable, secure, and well-documented.
Model, optimize, and operate databases (SQL & NoSQL) for performance and reliability.
Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), applying IaC (Terraform).
Integrate authentication & authorization flows (OAuth, SSO, session/token management) to ensure secure and smooth user experiences.
Leverage AI tools (Coding assistants, LLM-based code suggestions) for productivity while reviewing and owning every line of code.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Finance, and Design to ship impactful features.
Set high standards for testing and maintainability.
Be open to reading, understanding, and debugging parts of the stack built with no-code/low-code tools (Bubble.io).

Your profile

We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you've been. Here's what will set you up for success in this role:

8-10+ years professional experience in software engineering, with strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills across frontend & backend.
Strong cloud infrastructure experience, ideally with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Database expertise (SQL and/or NoSQL) with knowledge of schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Proven API development experience (REST/GraphQL).
Comfortable working independently in a seed-stage startup with cross-functional responsibilities.
Willingness to work on-site at our office in Berlin.
Fluent in English.

Nice to have (but not required):
Knowledge of auth protocols beyond the basics: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, session management
Experience with no-code/low-code platforms: Example: Bubble.io (Helpful for understanding parts of the stack, but not mandatory).
German language skills: German is optional but beneficial.
